The Associated Press has declared Kamala Harris the winner in Colorado, which carries 10 electoral votes. This takes her total to 113.

The New York Times’ estimates suggest that the race leans toward Donald Trump. He is a narrow but clear favourite to win Georgia and North Carolina. If he secures those states, Kamala Harris will likely need to win Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin to claim victory—a challenging but possible scenario. However, we have limited data from those states, and it will take time to obtain more.

NBC News exit polls indicate Trump's favourability among white voters has dropped to 49%, while it has slightly increased among Black and Latino voters. In Milwaukee, 30,000 absentee ballots will be re-run through tabulating machines due to improperly closed doors.

Despite this, the rupee has been relatively stable this year, with the Reserve Bank of India reportedly spending over $10.8 billion to defend it from election-related volatility. If Trump wins, higher tariffs could weaken emerging market currencies more broadly, but experts believe the Indian rupee is well-managed and may not experience the same level of weakness as others.
